Bloomington Minnesota Annual Memorial Day Parade was standing room only.

The Veterans Honor Guard presented The Colors for Martin Luther Campus's Memorial Day service. We were happy to serve these aging Vets and aging citizens of Bloomington.

Today, we donated $5,000 to the City of Bloomington to sponsor the Summer Fete fireworks July 3. Gambling Manager Tim Engstrom presents the check to Mayor Tim Busse.

Come and join us, Monday May 25th at 9am, to cheer our veterans marching in the Memorial Day Parade. The Parade begins at 94th & Lyndale and ends at The Bloomington Cemetery.

American Legion Post 550 2nd Vice Commander and VFW Post 1296 Commander Chris Schmid was promoted to Captain and turned over command of NRC Minneapolis.

You might not realize that Bloomington's Veterans Center is a hotspot for live music in the south metro. The place was packed Feb. 27 for Six to Midnight, a high-energy cover band.

The American Legion Department of Minnesota Appreciation Rally was held at our joint Post 550 on March 14th. You'll find a few photos below from this event. It was a great turnout.

Sponsored by Post 550, Liam Carroll of Minneapolis won the 10th District Oratorical Contest and competed in the State Oratorical Contest in Anoka on Feb. 28.

We had a full house for the January meeting and MN Department Commander Linda Dvorak from the New Prague Post 45 addressed our members tonight.

Chaplain Jim Meade attended the Pheasant Hunt dinner at the Minneapolis VA Veterans Home along with five other events in the last month. Commander Blaine Beste attended the Pearl Harbor rally in Buffalo MN.

The Bloomington American Legion donated to the VEAP Food Shelf for the month of November 2025.

Post 550 Legion member Larry Johnson appeared in the Legion Magazine, November 2025 issue.

The Bloomington Veterans Honor Guard were invited to the Minnesota Vikings Game on Sunday, November 9th.
