Hello, members of Earl C. Hill American Legion Post 550.
Service does not end when the uniform comes off. Our commitment to veterans continues throughout their lives, especially when a fellow veteran is facing illness, injury, recovery or an extended stay in a veteran’s hospital.
Veterans receiving hospital care may be separated from family, friends and the communities they once served. A visit, phone call, card, care package or simple conversation can remind them that they remain part of a larger military family. These gestures may seem small, but they carry an important message: You are remembered, your service matters, and your fellow veterans still stand beside you.
Supporting hospitalized veterans is also an opportunity for our post and community to demonstrate the values of fellowship and service at the heart of The American Legion. Members can help by participating in hospital visits, donating approved comfort items, supporting veteran programs, or simply taking the time to check on someone who may be going through a difficult period.
We also encourage our community to join us. You do not have to be a veteran to make a difference. Families, local organizations, schools and businesses can all help show appreciation for the men and women who answered our nation’s call.
At Earl C. Hill American Legion Post 550, we believe veterans should never feel forgotten. Whether they served decades ago or recently returned home, every veteran deserves dignity, companionship, and support.
Our veterans stood together while serving our country. Now it is our responsibility to continue standing together for them.
No veteran should face a difficult journey alone. Together, we can make sure they know their American Legion Family remembers them and remains by their side.
