Blaine Beste was elected to the Earl C. Hill American Legion Post 550 for 2025-2026. He served the previous 2 years as the Posts Finance Officer and has served the Post on the Bloomington Veterans Honor Guard for the past 7 years.

He is excited about the role of the American Legion, it's support of veterans, community involvement, and charitable contribution it makes to those in need.

Blaine retired as a sergeant major after serving 28 years in the US Army National Guard. His career included a 14 month active duty deployment during the second Iraq war beginning in 2003.

Blaine is retired after spending 25 years as a federal government employee auditing financial institutions.
