The Bloomington Veterans Honor Guard was at Fort Snelling in early March to present the U.S. flag during the playing of the national anthem during a job fair for veterans.

Department Commander Paul Hassing, a member of Bloomington Post 550, and his wife, Jody Hassing, participate in the Minnesota American Legion Bowling Tournament. Jody is the director of the Minnesota American Legion Riders.

Bloomington Post 550 Commander Dan Welch carries the Department of Minnesota colors at Veterans Day on the Hill on April 17 at the Minnesota State Capitol. The national commander gave him a challenge coin and pen later.

Bloomington Post 550 donated $12,000 to Bloomington Legion Baseball this spring. The team plans to field four teams. On the left is Post 550 Athletics Officer Mark Scott, an SAL member.

Bloomington Post 550 donated a new U.S. flag to Red Haddox Field. The tattered Minnesota flag needed replacing, too, but everyone is waiting to see what happens with the Legislature between now and Minnesota Statehood Day, May 11, when a new flag design would become official.
